For many years I have been using my documentary work experience in wedding reportage, life style and portrait photography, working mainly in Berlin but also in other locations in Europe and beyond the continent, in Asia, South America or Africa.
The reporter’s work has shaped my style and the way I look. I have worked for many years on a long-term documentary project in Bangladesh and Myanmar about a persecuted Muslim minority in southern Asia, known as the Rohingya people. I have been published in El País, The Guardian, AZ Zeitung, Deutsche Welle, Focus, Aleteia, Halewijn, National Geographic Polska Magazine or Newsweek Polska. On the air of Polish Radio Szczecin, I reported a trip to Tibet and India, where I photographed the 14th Dalai Lama. I’m also graduate of the Sputnik Photos Mentoring Programme (2018).
But I found fullfilment of myself on many levels. I am a father, a husband, a friend. A traveler, computer scientist, designer. I am socially activist. Photography is an important part of me, but it doesn’t completely define me. I am multi-level and multicultural.
first, out of curiosity and willingness to find fullfilment on another level, I started making wedding reportages. First in Poland, then mainly in Berlin and Hamburg.
From the beginning, I treated this type of work as an adventure, but at the same time a great challenge. I started doing individual wedding sessions and portraits. All without stressful posing, often in crowds of people on the Alexanderplatz in Berlin, in ordinary places.
